Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Remove the rear drive shaft. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Using the output flange holding tool (1a), remove the output flange nut (1b).

4. Remove the output flange (1), inspect for damage or wear and replace as needed.

5. Remove and discard the output flange seal (1).

INSTALLATION

1. Using the (special tool #2030500030, Differential input oil seal installer) tool (1), install a NEW  output flange seal.

2. Install the output flange (1).

3. Using the output flange holding tool (1a), install the output flange nut (1b) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
4. Install the rear drive shaft. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Check the rear axle fluid and fill as necessary. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE  .
6. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
