Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the flexplate. Refer to FLEXPLATE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

2. Remove the engine crankshaft oil seal (1) using the (special tool #2044600090, Remover, Crankshaft Seal).
   NOTE:

   Take care not to damage the seal seat during its removal.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install a NEW  engine crankshaft oil seal using the (special tool #2044800090, Guide, Crankshaft Seal) and (special tool #2024600090, Installer, Crankshaft Seal).

2. Verify that the seal lip (1) on the retainer is uniformly curled inward toward the engine on the crankshaft (2).
3. Install the flexplate. Refer to FLEXPLATE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
