Engine Oil Vapor Separator

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
3. Drain the turbocharger cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING THE TURBOCHARGER COOLING SYSTEM .
4. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

5. Disengage the engine wiring retaining clips (1).
6. Remove and discard the bolts (2a) and remove the engine oil vapor separator (2b), complete with gasket (2c).

INSTALLATION

1. Install the engine oil vapor separator (1) with a new gasket and eight NEW  bolts (2) hand tight.

2. Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown to the proper specification Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
3. Engage the engine wiring retaining clips.
4. Install the intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Fill the turbocharger cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING THE TURBOCHARGER COOLING SYSTEM .
6. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
7. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
