Surge Valve

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the top engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Loosen the retaining clamp (1a) and disconnect the bypass pipe (1b) from the surge valve.

4. Disconnect the surge valve electrical connection (1).
5. Remove the bolts (2a) and remove the surge valve (2b) complete with seal (2c).

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the surge valve complete with new gasket and tighten the bolts.
2. Connect the surge valve electrical connection.
3. Connect the turbocharger bypass pipe to the surge valve and close the retaining clamp.
4. Install the top engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
