Camshaft Sprocket

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the timing chain cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Remove the cam chain. Refer to CHAIN AND SPROCKETS, TIMING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Lock the camshaft with a suitable tool (1).
4. Remove and discard the bolt (2a) and remove the camshaft sprocket (2b).

INSTALLATION 

1. Remove all sealant residues.

2. Lock the camshaft with a suitable tool (1).
3. Install the camshaft sprocket (2a) and tighten the NEW  bolt (2b) to the proper specification Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
4. Install the cam chain. Refer to CHAIN AND SPROCKETS, TIMING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Install the timing chain cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
6. If removed, install the oil filter and fill the engine crankcase with the proper oil to the correct level. Refer to OIL, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
7. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check cooling system for correct fluid level. Refer to ADDING ADDITIONAL COOLANT .
