Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

Quadrifoglio model shown in illustration base model similar.

NOTE:

Removal and installation process is the same for both sides of the vehicle.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. If equipped disconnect the shock absorber solenoid valve wire harness connector (2).
  5. Remove the three shock absorber to body mounting nuts (1).

  6. Disengage the wheel speed sensor retainer (1).
  7. Remove the lower strut assembly to lower control arm mounting bolt (2).

  8. Remove the mounting bolts (1a) and position the brake oil tube retaining bracket (1b) to the side.
  9. Remove the stabilizer link to strut assembly mounting nut (2a) and disconnect the anti-roll bar joint (2b) from the strut assembly.

  10. Remove and DISCARD  the upper control arm to knuckle mounting bolt (1a).
  11. Position the knuckle to the side and remove the strut assembly (2) from the vehicle.
  12. For disassembly. Refer to STRUT, SUSPENSION, ASSEMBLY, DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY .
