Removal And Installation: Removal

WARNING:

Review the warnings and cautions for this system before performing the procedure. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious or fatal injury.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the A/C Condenser. Refer to CONDENSER, A/C, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Remove the cap (1b) from the bottom of the condenser (1a).
  5. Using a suitable tool, push the accumulator holder (2b) inwards to disengage and remove the accumulator retaining clip (2a).
  6. Remove the accumulator holder (2b) and the accumulator (3a).
