Removal And Installation: 2.9L: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Remove the radiator air deflector assembly. Refer to DUCT, RADIATOR AIR INLET, UPPER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Disconnect the A/C line retaining clip (1a).
  5. Remove the A/C discharge and liquid line nuts (2a, 2b) and disconnect the lines (2c, 2d) from the condenser (2e). Remove and discard the seal washers
  6. Install plugs in, or tape over the opened refrigerant line fittings and condenser ports.

  7. Release the condenser retainers (1a).
  8. Remove the condenser (1b) by releasing it from the retainers (2a).
