Cooling Fan

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the turbocharger air inlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the engine belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove the lower air duct on radiator. Refer to DUCT, RADIATOR AIR INLET LOWER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  6. Release the clip (1a), remove the bolt and supply pipe to the turbocharger air cooling radiator (1b).

  7. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature control valve wire harness connector (1).

  8. Disconnect the engine fan control unit wire harness connector (1).
  9. Release the fan wiring retaining clips (2).

  10. Release the clips (1a) and radiator coolant inlet pipe (1b).

  11. Release both retaining clips (1a) to lift and remove the radiator cooling fan (1b).

INSTALLATION 

  1. Install the radiator cooling fan in its housing and engage it in the retaining clips.
  2. Install the radiator coolant inlet pipe to the radiator in its housing and close the respective clips.
  3. Secure the fan wiring with the fan retaining clips.
  4. Connect the engine fan control unit wire harness connector.
  5. Connect the engine cooling system control solenoid valve wire harness connector (1).
  6. Securely tighten the bolt of the supply pipe to the supercharging air cooling radiator and close the respective clip.
  7. Install the lower air duct on radiator. Refer to DUCT, RADIATOR AIR INLET LOWER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Install the engine belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  9. Install the turbocharger air inlet tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  10. Install the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
