Battery Cable Junction Block To Generator And Starter: Installation

1. Install the wiring harness (1a) to the B+ stud on the starter and install the nut (1b) on the B+ stud and tighten securely.

2. Install the starter electrical connector (1).

3. Position the wiring harness in the retaining clip (2) and securely tighten the bolts (1a) in the retainers (1b) for the wiring harness.

4. Install the wiring harness connector (1) in to the engine oil level sensor.

5. Install the bolts (1a) to the wiring harness retainers and tighten securely.

6. Install the bolt (1a) to the wiring harness retainer and tighten securely.

7. Install the wiring harness (1c) on the B+ stud of the generator and install the nut (1b) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
8. Install the generator B+ cover (1a).

9. Install the engine mount (1b) to the engine and install the engine mount bolts (1a) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
10. Install the front suspension crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, FRONT SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
11. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

12. Install the wiring harness (1b)to the Junction block B+ stud and install the nut (1a) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

13. Install the cover to the junction block (1a).
14. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
