Removal And Installation: Base: Installation

  1. If removed, install the caliper adapter bracket and install the caliper adapter bracket to knuckle mounting bolts and tighten to the proper, and install the brake pads onto the bracket. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  2. Install the rear brake caliper (1a) and tighten the brake caliper bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the protection caps over the mounting bolts (1b).
  4. Install the clip securing the brake caliper to the bracket.
  5. Connect the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) actuator electrical connector to the rear brake caliper.
  6. Connect the brake pad wear sensor electrical harness connector.

  7. Install the brake hose (1b) to the rear caliper and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  8. Install the brake hose retaining clip (1a) and tighten the brake tube nut (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  9. Remove the special tool from the brake reservoir and install the brake reservoir cap.
  10. Bleed the brake system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  11. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  12. Connect the negative battery cable.
  13. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
    NOTE:

    Connect the scan tool to the vehicle, select ABS "miscellaneous functions", select "Electric Park Brake (EPB)" then start the "ASSEMBLY CHECK" procedure.
