Front Base: Installation

NOTE:

If the front brake disc needs to be replaced, connect the diagnosis equipment to the vehicle diagnosis socket, go to "ABS control unit" and start the following procedures: BRAKE DISC

NOTE:

Clean the hub face to remove any dirt or corrosion where the rotor mounts.

  1. Install the brake rotor in place on the hub and install the Brake Rotor to Hub Bolt - Front and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

  2. Install the brake caliper and install the brake caliper to knuckle mounting bolts (1c) with the counterweight (1b) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the brake line bracket and install the bracket to knuckle mounting bolts and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Engage the wheel speed sensor to the brake line bracket.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
