Removal And Installation 2.0L: Removal

NOTE:

Removal process is similar for both sides of the vehicle

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Disconnect the electrical harness connector (1) from the electric parking brake gear motor.

  5. Disconnect the electrical harness connector (1) to the brake pad wear sensor.

  6. Remove and DISCARD  the mounting bolts (1a) and remove the gear motor (1b).
