Removal And Installation: Removal

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the door. Refer to DOOR, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the bolts (1).
4. Remove the hinges (2).

5. Remove the bolts (1) attaching the half hinges (2) to the body.
6. Remove the half hinges.

INSTALLATION

1. Install the half hinges (2).
2. Install the bolts (1) attaching the half hinges (2) to the body.

3. Install the hinges (2).
4. Install the bolts (1).
5. Install the door. Refer to DOOR, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
6. Adjust the door. Refer to DOOR, REAR, ADJUSTMENTS .
7. Connect the negative battery cable.

Exposed Metal Treatment

1. Apply an epoxy or anti-corrosion primer to any bare metal exposed during hinge service procedures.
2. Allow the primer to dry in accordance with the manufacturer recommendations.
3. Apply touch-up paint over the primed area.
4. Allow the touch-up paint to dry in accordance to the manufacturer recommendations.
