Primary Hood Release Cable: Installation

  1. Route the hood latch release cable through the hole in the dash panel and seat the cable grommet (3b).
  2. Install the nuts (2a) and tighten securely.
  3. Route the hood latch release cables (1a) and clip into place (1b and 1c).

  4. Install the cable end (1b) then engage the cable (1a) into the hood release control (2).
  5. Install the left hood latch. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the right hood latch. Refer to LATCH, HOOD, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Install the cowl side trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  8. Install the cowl cover panel. Refer to COVER, COWL PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
