Removal And Installation: Removal

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the carrier plate. Refer to PLATE, CARRIER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Working on the carrier plate, release the retainer (1a) for the wiring using a trim stick or equivalent.
4. Release the control cable (2c) retainers (2a) and then (2b) on the lock.
5. Release the retainers (3a) and remove the handle mounting (3b).
6. If necessary, release the retainers (4a) and then (4b) from the handle mounting (3b) and recover the control cable (2c).

INSTALLATION

1. If removed, secure the control cable (1d) retainers (1b) and then (1c) on the handle mounting (1a).
2. Position the handle mounting (1a) and secure its retainers (2a).
3. Secure the control cable (1d) retainers (3a) and then (3b) on the lock.
4. Secure the wiring retainer (4a).
5. Install the carrier plate. Refer to PLATE, CARRIER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
