Removal-Front Floor Carpet

NOTE:

The front floor carpet consists of two components, one for the driver side and one for the passenger side. These carpets can be removed and installed separately.

  1. Remove the driver or passenger front seat from the vehicle as necessary. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. If removing the left front carpet, remove the accelerator pedal. Refer to PEDAL, ACCELERATOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 2.0LPEDAL, ACCELERATOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 2.8L .
  3. Remove the floor console. Refer to CONSOLE, FLOOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the cowl side trim panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  5. If removing right front carpet remove the fasteners (1a) securing the BCM access cover and remove the access cover (1b) by releasing it from the lower side.

  6. Remove the front floor carpet (1a) from under the lower B-pillar trim panel (1b).
  7. Lift the front floor carpet at the rear and remove.
