Removal And Installation: Removal

Position the front seats full forward to assist in removal of the console.
Remove the gearshift knob. Refer to KNOB, GEARSHIFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 8HP50/850RE KNOB, GEARSHIFT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 8HP75 .
Using a trim stick or equivalent, release the retaining clips (1b) and remove the floor console front side covers (1a).

Using a trim stick or equivalent, lift at the bottom side of cover (1a) to release the retaining clips (1b) and remove.
Remove the two screws behind this cover.

Using a trim stick or equivalent, release the retaining clips (2b) and loosen the floor console rear cover (2a).
Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) and remove the floor console rear cover.

Position the front seats full forward.
Disconnect the wire harness connector (2a).
Remove the bolts covers and the bolts (1a) on both sides of the floor console.

Lift the floor console slightly and disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a, 1b and 1c).

Pull the floor console rearward and remove.
