Removal And Installation: Removal
CAUTION:
Do not use any type of pliers on the machined surface of the gas prop to assist in supporting the hood or decklid. Use a proper device for support, or the help of an assistant.
- Remove the cowl panel cover. Refer to COVER, COWL PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Open and support the hood with a suitable prop or block.
- Disconnect the washer hose at the grommet (1a).
- Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the hood hinge to aid in installation.
- With the help of an assistant holding the hood (1b), remove the two nuts (2a) from both sides of vehicle and remove the hood.
