Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. If replacing the left spring, loosen the seal (1a), remove the push fastener (2a) then lower the trunk trim panel (1b).

  2. If replacing the right spring, turn the latch (1a) and remove the cover (1b).
  3. Support the decklid with a suitable prop or block to prevent it from closing.

  4. Using the vise grips or equivalent, remove the spring (1a) from the decklid hinge (1b) and body (1c).
