Removal And Installation

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the door lock cylinder/closeout cap. Refer to CYLINDER, DOOR LOCK, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the exterior handle (1a) pulling it backwards in the direction of the arrow (1b), then turn the rear part (1c) toward the outside in the direction of the arrow (1d). Finally, extract the terminal with the wire harness connections (1e).
4. Disconnect the wire harness connection (1e).
5. Keep the exterior handle. (1a).
6. If necessary, remove the seal (4a) by releasing its retainers, after loosening the interior lock mounting fastening screws (4b).

INSTALLATION

1. If removed, position the seal (1a) and secure the retainers, then tighten the interior lock mounting fastening screws (1b).
2. Connect the wire harness connection (2) for the exterior handle (3).
3. Insert the exterior handle (3) in place and push forwards until it is in the correct position.
4. Install the door lock cylinder/closeout cap. Refer to CYLINDER, DOOR LOCK, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
