Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the decklid trim panel. Refer to PANEL, TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the wire harness (2b) from the decklid and disconnect all harness connectors (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f and 1g).
  4. Using a grease pencil or equivalent, mark the position of the decklid hinge (3a) on the decklid to aid in installation.
  5. With the aid of an assistant supporting the decklid, remove the bolts (4a) and the decklid.
