Removal And Installation: Removal

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the exterior mirror. Refer to MIRROR, OUTSIDE REARVIEW, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  Refer to MIRROR, OUTSIDE REARVIEW, COVER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the window motor. Refer to MOTOR, WINDOW REGULATOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
4. Remove the applique. Refer to APPLIQUE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
5. Remove the seal (1a) for the exterior rear view mirror.
6. Release the retaining buttons (2a) securing the front of the weatherstrip (2b) to be removed, with a trim stick or equivalent.
7. Remove the weatherstrip (2b), releasing it from its seat.

INSTALLATION

1. Position the weatherstrip (1a) and secure it in place.
2. Use soapy water to make fitting the parts (1b) and (1c) of the weatherstrip in its housing easier.
3. In particular, to make inserting the part (1b) of the weatherstrip easier, manually lift the window by about 1/3 and engage the part (1b) of the weatherstrip both in its seat on the door frame and on the window. Once the weatherstrip (1a) is in position, move the window over its whole travel, checking that it slides correctly.

4. Engage the retaining buttons (2a) fixing the front of the weatherstrip (1a).
5. Engage the seal (3a) for the exterior rear view mirror.
6. Install the applique. Refer to APPLIQUE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
7. Install the window motor. Refer to MOTOR, WINDOW REGULATOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
8. Install the exterior mirror. Refer to MIRROR, OUTSIDE REARVIEW, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  Refer to MIRROR, OUTSIDE REARVIEW, COVER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
