Removal And Installation: Secondary: Removal

NOTE:

Take note of the cable routing for correct installation.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery terminal.
  2. Remove the push fasteners (1a) and the cover (2a).

  3. Remove the push fasteners (1a) and the cover (2a), that covers the right  hood latch.

  4. Remove the screws (1a) and the push fasteners (2a).

  5. working on both sides of the vehicle, loosen the upper side retainers (1b) of the front fascia (1a)

  6. Release the cable retainer (1b), then remove the cable end (1c) from the right hood latch (1a).
  7. Position the cable (1d) aside.
  8. Release the cable retainer (2b), then remove the cable end (2c) from the safety latch (2a).
  9. Lift the front fascia (3a) and unclip the safety latch cable (3b) from the body.
  10. Remove the safety latch cable from the vehicle.
