Removal And Installation: Rear

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Remove the right rear wheel. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

3. Working in the right rear suspension area, disengage the headlamp leveling sensor (1c) link rod (1b) from the ball joint (1a).
4. Remove the fasteners (2a) and move the sensor (1c) away from the housing.
5. Disconnect the wire harness connector (3a) from the sensor (1c).
6. Remove the sensor from the vehicle.
7. If needed, remove the fasteners (5a) and remove the ball pin (5b).

INSTALLATION 

1. Inspect the sensor and wiring harness integrity.

2. If removed, position the ball pin (1a) and securely tighten the fasteners (1b).
3. Connect the wire harness connector (2a) to the sensor (2b).
4. Position the sensor (2b) and securely tighten the fasteners (3a).
5. Engage the link rod and ball joint (4a) with the ball pin (1a).
6. Install the right rear wheel. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
7. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
8. Perform the headlamp alignment procedure. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
