The vehicle is equipped with an infotelematic system designed according to the specific characteristics of the passenger compartment, with a customized design that matches the style of the instrument panel. The system is installed in an ergonomic position for the driver and passenger and controls can be quickly identified from the graphics on the front making the control devices easy to use. To increase protection against theft, the system has a protection system which only allows it to be used on the vehicle in which it was originally installed.
The infotainment system managed by the Radio/ETM may have a 16.5 centimeter (6.5 inch) or 22.4 centimeter (8.8 inch) display.
There is an optional navigation system, the operator has the option of choosing a street address, point of interest, trip itinerary and other features outlined in the operator manual.
The infotainment system and radio are controlled by means of three switch panels:
- Knob below shifter
- Volume knob below shifter
- Remote Switch on steering wheel, left side
The commands from these three components are sent to the Radio/ETM. The Radio/ETM processes the signals and provides visual feedback on the display and auditory feedback on the sound system of the vehicle to confirm reception of the controls.
The Radio/ETM exchanges information with the other modules on the Controller Area Network - Interior High Speed (CAN-IHS) to manage the infotainment system.
Music files can be played via the USB and AUX port.
