Removal And Installation: Removal
NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, use a diagnostic scan tool to perform the Flash Programming Procedure (if available). This will confirm that the module is updated to the latest applicable software level.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the left side trunk trim panel. Refer to PANEL, TRUNK TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
or PANEL, TRUNK TRIM, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

- Remove the amplifier mounting bracket nuts (1a) and mounting bracket.
- Disconnect the amplifier wire harness connectors (2a).
- Remove the amplifier and mounting bracket from the vehicle (3).
