Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front right seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1a, 1b) from the Heated Seat Module (HSM) (1c).
  4. Remove the two screws (2a) and the HSM (1c).

INSTALLATION 

  1. Install the HSM (1a) and the two screws (1b), securely tighten.
  2. Connect the wire harness connectors (2a, 2b) to the HSM (1a).
  3. Install the front right seat. Refer to SEAT, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
