Test H: No Dynamic Pull Occurs At Throttle During Self Test
NOTE:
This test only applies to vehicle equipped with electronic instrument clusters.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove accelerator control splash shield. Inspect cruise control cable attachment at throttle body. If cruise control cable is attached, go to next step. If cruise control cable is not attached, repair as necessary. After repair, test system for normal operation.
- Disconnect cruise control cable from throttle linkage. Check slack in cruise control cable beyond throttle attachment. If slack is approximately 0.12" (3 mm), go to next step. If slack is not approximately 0.12" (3 mm), adjust cruise control cable. See CRUISE CONTROL CABLE under ADJUSTMENTS. After repair, test system for normal operation.
- Inspect cruise control cable for sticking and binding. If cruise control cable is okay, replace cruise control servo/actuator. See SERVO/ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If cruise control cable is faulty, replace cruise control cable. See CRUISE CONTROL CABLE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair, clear DTC and test system for normal operation.
