3. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact:

4. Reconnect the 37P connector to the control unit, do the following input tests:

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
26 RED Under all conditions Measure the voltage to ground:There should be battery voltage.
  • Blown No. A29 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box
  • Faulty under-dash fuse/relay box
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
25 PNK Vehicle ON mode Measure the voltage to ground:There should be battery voltage.
  • Blown No. B22 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
3 BLK In all power modes Measure the voltage to ground:There should be less than 0.2 V.
  • Poor ground (G501)
  • An open or high resistance in the ground wire
Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
31 BLK In all power modes Measure the voltage to ground:There should be less than 0.2 V.
  • Poor ground (G501)
  • An open or high resistance in the ground wire

5. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode

6. Disconnect the connector from the power window master switch, and do the following input tests:

NOTE:  After replacing the power window master switch, do the resetting the power window control unit .

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained
37 BLK Vehicle ON mode, connect terminals No. 25 and No. 37 with a jumper wire Check the power mirror switch light operation: The power mirror switch light should come on.
  • Faulty LEDs
  • Faulty power mirror switch
  • Poor ground (G501) or an open in the ground wire
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
6 BLU Vehicle ON mode, power mirror switch in RIGHT mirror position Measure the voltage to ground:There should be battery voltage when the power mirror switch RIGHT or DOWN is pressed.
  • Blown No. B22 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • Faulty power mirror switch
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
7 WHT Vehicle ON mode, power mirror switch in RIGHT mirror position Measure the voltage to ground:There should be battery voltage when the power mirror switch LEFT or DOWN is pressed.
  • Blown No. B22 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • Faulty power mirror switch
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
5 TAN Vehicle ON mode, power mirror switch in RIGHT mirror position Measure the voltage to ground:There should be battery voltage when the power mirror switch UP or LEFT is pressed.
  • Blown No. B22 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • Faulty left [right] power mirror actuator
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
15 TAN Vehicle ON mode, connect terminals No. 15 and No. 25 with a jumper wire Check the left power mirror defogger operation: The left power mirror defogger should work (the inside lower edge becomes warm).
  • Faulty left power mirror defogger
  • Poor ground (G501) or an open in the ground wire
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
36 GRY Disconnect these connectors:
  • Front passenger's power window switch 37P connector
  • Moonroof control unit/motor 14P connector
Check for continuity between terminal No. 36 and front passenger's power window switch 37P connector terminal No. 34:There should be continuity. An open in the LIN(P/W) wire
Check for continuity between terminal No. 36 and moonroof control unit/motor 14P connector terminal No. 12:There should be continuity. An open in the LIN (P/W) wire
Check for continuity to ground: There should be no continuity. A short to ground in the LIN(P/W) wire
