Right Side

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING THE ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM .
  3. Remove the air cleaner body and ducts. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove the front intake air tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  5. Remove the bolts (1a) the band (1b), and the air inlet pipe (1c) complete with O-ring (1d).

  6. Disconnect the throttle body actuator wire harness connector (1).

  7. Open the clip (1a) and disconnect the fuel vapor inlet pipe quick connector (1b).

  8. Remove the bolt (1a) and the air temperature/pressure sensor (1b) and position aside.

  9. Remove the low pressure fuel pipe bolt (1).
  10. Remove the connector holder bracket bolts (2).

  11. Remove the bolts (1a) and the right intake manifold (1b).
  12. Remove the gasket.

  13. If necessary, remove the bolts (1a) and spacer (1b).
  14. If necessary, remove the bolts (2a) and the throttle body (2b).

INSTALLATION

  1. Using a NEW  gasket, install the right intake manifold (1a) onto the locating pins and tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install the connector holder bracket bolts and securely tighten.
  3. Install the low pressure fuel pipe bolt and securely tighten.
  4. Install the air temperature/pressure sensor and securely tighten the bolt.
  5. Connect the fuel vapor inlet pipe quick connector and close the retaining clip.
  6. Connect the throttle body actuator wire harness connector.
  7. Install the air inlet pipe and tighten the band and securely tighten the bolts.
  8. Install the front intake air tube. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  9. Install the air cleaner body and ducts. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  10. Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING THE ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
