Diagnostic Test

CHECK BANK 1 MAP SENSOR AND PCM-1 CONNECTIONS
1. Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the Bank 1 MAP Sensor or on the PCM-1.
  Are there any loose or damaged connections?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the wiring connections as necessary.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 2
WIRING CHECK BETWEEN BANK 1 MAP AND PCM-1
1. Check the wiring for an open circuit or high resistance between the Bank 1 MAP Sensor and (K46) of the connector on the engine side of the PCM-1.
  Is there a high resistance or open condition in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the wiring.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
WIRING CHECK BETWEEN BANK 1 MAP AND PCM-1
1. Check for a short circuit in the wiring between the Bank 1 MAP Sensor and (K46) of the connector on the engine side of the PCM-1.
  Is there a short circuit in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the short circuit in the wiring.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 4
BANK 1 MAP OPERATION CHECK
1. Check that the Bank 1 MAP Sensor is working properly.
  Is the Bank 1 MAP Sensor operating properly?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 5
  No
  - Replace the Bank 1 MAP Sensor.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK ENGINE CONTROL MODULE OPERATION
1. Check that the master engine control module is working properly.
  Is the Master engine control module operating properly?
  
  Yes
  - End of diagnosis.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace the PCM-1.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
