Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read and record DTCs and Freeze Frame Data.
  Are there any Open DTCs active or pending?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the applicable diagnostic procedure(s). Refer to DTC INDEX .
  - Go To 2
CHECK CONNECTION ON HIGH FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR AND PCM-1
1. Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the right bank high pressure fuel sensor or on the PCM-1.
  Are there any loose or damaged connections?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the wiring connections as necessary.
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK WIRING BETWEEN HIGH FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR AND PCM-1
1. Check for a short circuit to battery voltage in the wiring between the right bank high pressure fuel sensor and PIN 40 of the connector on engine side of the PCM-1.
  Is there a short circuit to battery in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the wiring and connections as necessary insulation to the battery.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 4
CHECK FUEL HIGH PRESSURE SENSOR OPERATION
1. Check that the right bank fuel high pressure sensor is working correctly.
  Is the operation of the right bank high pressure fuel sensor incorrect?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the right bank high pressure fuel sensor.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 5
HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP CHECK SOLENOID VALVE OPERATION
1. Check that the right bank high pressure fuel pump solenoid valve is working correctly.
  Is the right bank high pressure fuel pump solenoid valve operation incorrect?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the right bank high pressure fuel pump.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 6
HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP OPERATION CHECK
1. Check that the right bank high pressure fuel pump is working correctly.
  Is the operation of the right bank high pressure fuel pump incorrect?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the right bank high pressure fuel pump.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - End of diagnosis.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
