Diagnostic Test

LOW PRESSURE FUEL CIRCUIT LEAK CHECK
1. Check for leaks in the low pressure fuel circuit.
  Are there any leaks?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the leaks as necessary and restore correct operation.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 2
CHECK CONNECTION ON FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR 2 AND PCM-2
1. Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2 or on the PCM-2.
  Are there any loose or damaged connections?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the wiring connections as necessary.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK THE WIRING BETWEEN FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR 2 AND PCM-2
1. Check for a short circuit to ground in the wiring between the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2 and PIN 40 of the connector on the engine side of the slave engine control module.
  Is there a short circuit to ground in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the wiring and connections as necessary insulation to ground.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 4
CHECK FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR 2 OPERATION
1. Check that the left bank fuel high pressure sensor is working correctly.
  Is the operation of the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2 incorrect?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor 2.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 5
HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP OPERATION CHECK
1. Check that the left bank high pressure fuel pump is working correctly.
  Is the operation of the left bank high pressure fuel pump incorrect?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the left bank high pressure fuel pump.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - End of diagnosis.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
