Diagnostic Test

CHECK CONNECTION FOR THE O2 SENSOR 2/2 AND THE PCM-2
1. Check for loose, damaged or corroded connections on the O2 Sensor 2/2 or the PCM-2.
  Are there any loose or corroded connections?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the wiring connections as necessary.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 2
CHECK PCM-2 AND O2 SENSOR 2/2 WIRING
1. Check the wiring for an open circuit or high resistance between the O2 Sensor 2/2 and PIN 43 of the connector on vehicle side of the PCM-2.
  Is there a high resistance or open condition in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the wiring.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK PCM-2 AND O2 SENSOR 2/2 WIRING
1. Check for a short circuit in the wiring between the O2 Sensor 2/2 and PIN 43 of the connector on vehicle side of the PCM-2.
  Is there a short circuit in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the short circuit in the wiring.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 4
CHECK PCM-2 AND O2 SENSOR 2/2 WIRING
1. Check for a short circuit in the wiring between the sensor and the O2 Sensor 2/2 heater or between pins 43 and 90 of the connector on vehicle side of the PCM-2.
  Is there a short circuit in the wiring?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the short circuit in the wiring.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 5
CHECK O2 SENSOR 2/2 OPERATION
1. Check that the O2 Sensor 2/2 is working properly.
  Is the O2 Sensor 2/2 operation incorrect?
  
  Yes
  - Replace the O2 Sensor 2/2.
  - Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - End of diagnosis.
